DevExpress asp.net PivotGrid SQL data

I have single table/view in an SQL server (Firebird) database which I want to create an online PivotGrid to analyse. The table of interest stores job-costing data with a few fields:
DATE, JOB_NO, COST_TYPE, WORKER, SITE, HOURS, AMOUNT etc...
I already have purchased a very powerful PivotGrid component from developer express. (see [login to view URL]). This component should easily connect to my database, it has the ability to read / write it's current format to a string (so that users can save reports, and it has methods which allow import / export to Excel / PDF. It appears relatively simple to get this working but I am not familiar with ASP.NET.
1) This project is to setup this component & link it to the database
2) Implement basic security to access the data & page (username / password can be checked against a list of permitted users in table in the same Firebird database)
3) Allow export of grid to Excel / PDF (component already can do this - there is a demo of how to do this with component - just a case of interfacing with some export methods / classes I think)
4) Allow the user to Save / Load the components configuration to the database giving it a report label(so user can quickly reload a previous pivot of the data). The component has a method which can be used to get/set it's configuration to a string. So it's a case of taking this string and storing it in a table in the database called REPORTS: (eg:)
Reports: [USER_ID [guid], REPORT_NAME [varchar(128)], CONFIGURATION (blob)]
5) Install / show me how to install / setup on my windows hosted server.
I've done a lot of windows programming but I don't have any ASP experience so this is where you come in...
