We are a neuroimaging lab at Harvard University in the Psychology Department. We are going to use VR to study how people explore environments. Our plan is to have people explore interiors of VR houses and encounter objects that either make sense or don't given the context (i.e., finding a toaster in the kitchen as opposed to a fire hydrant).
We would like to hire someone to do the following: we need to furnish one or more realistic 3d houses with virtual objects. These would be everyday objects like tables, beds, toasters, etc. This could be accomplished with any program as long as it can eventually be in a format to be imported into Unreal, our VR engine.
You would have to find/make, texture, size and position the objects that we need in the houses. We have a specific list of objects we need, however, most of them can probably be found for free on various cg websites, so you wouldn't necessarily have to build each one yourself.
As a first pass, we don't need anything too fancy--simple textures, simple models--as long as they are realistically proportioned and placed in the locations we require.
We may also want to have flythroughs made and sets of static images (jpgs) made of each of the rooms.
