This is Phase I - project specs:
Need someone familiar with 3D design/animated characters to help define our character requirements and make recommendations for specifications related to software, construction type, and methodology with target of keeping project relatively simple and straightforward so it can be acheived at reasonable cost.
American/English language skills required for bidders.
Summary should also include approximate cost/timing we could expect for the final project/character, and approx cost for any recommended options/upgrades, file types, exports, etc.
Character will need to be used in short videos, action shots so include any factors/requirement needed to be sure character is video/virtual reality movie capable. Script tbd.
What we are looking for here is a one or two page summary with info the 3D designer would need to know, and terminology important to project that we may not be familiar with since we don't do virtual reality design.
First character will be female body type, muscular build. Tuff Girl, something along the lines of Witchblade, Xena, Laura Croft-Tomb Raider etc, see also [url removed, login to view] for ideas.
If body detail is to difficult/costly, clothing/boots may help offset some of detail requirements. Eventually character will have a tattoo, but haven't decided on a design yet.
Tuff Girl can wear shades initially if eyes are a lot of detail/expense, but would need to be able to add eye detail later.
Later projects will be a sketch/vision of 3D character and actual design/build of character and animation based on definition/requirements developed here.
Basically, Ihave a pretty good idea what I want, but I need help describing/defining in technical terms and figure out what to ask for, or not ask for to keep it functional, flexible, and affordable. I will be glad to call and talk thru details with winner.
