We need a multi user system (10 users) written. It is to replace an existing system that has a Foxpro database. The existing system is a piece of commerical software that is not suitable for our use, but the tables are quite easy to understand.
The enclosed file is an outline of the tables needed (not complete). The blue indicates a linked field.
There will be 2 main entities to the system, products and contacts. We are a project based company, so when we sell a system, we may purchase products from 10 different suppliers. Each product that is bought needs to be tracked for its lifetime. It may sit in stock, go to inhouse technical dept for programming/setting up, go out on loan, go to client, come back if not suitable, come back if broken, sent to supplier for repair, sent to supplier for credit etc.
We need instant access to all the information. The current system has the information, but is a nightmare to search and work with. All fields will need to be searchable. We need some simple reports, such as Purchase Orders outstanding, current stock, minimum order levels etc.
We will have maybe 1000 line items and 100 contacts.
Any bidders must have experience in simple stock systems. It really isnt a complex requirement.
Please note this application needs to be a Windows application, not a web application.
