Project - To develop and host Computer based tutorials in various subject.
Eligibility - Persons conversant in visual basic projects and having good knowledge in the subjects/having good contacts with subject experts.
General Specification for Computer Based Tutorial (CBT)
1. The CBT developed should run on MS Windows (or) Linux (or) OS2 operating systems.
2. The CBT to be developed using Software VB 6.0/VB.NET as front end and back end according to the application viz. For database – MDB, and for animations – Flash.
3. The CBT should incorporate the following:
o Each frame should display not more than 10 lines to be distributed evenly on the entire screen.
o Audio (Wave/Midi/Dat etc.,) to be incorporated throughout the tutorial. ON/OFF option must be provided.
o Numerical examples to be incorporated.
o Minimum 50 animated pictures to be incorporated. If required, Static Pictures also to be incorporated.
o Navigation to pages (Next, Previous, Go to page numbers etc.,) should be provided.
o Contents, index is must.
o Number of frames, corresponding frame numbers should be displayed.
o Hyperlinks to (Definition, Formulae, pictures etc.,) should be provided.
o Hotspots should be differentiated.
o Help files should be incorporated.
o Quick Tool should be provided.
o Keyboard support (Shortcut keys, Access keys etc.,) should be provided. Keys should be unique.
o Questionnaires (Objective, Descriptive types) are must.
o Search Engine must have contents, index, search options.
o Quiz should have minimum 250 questions, Random questions generation, Chapter Wise quiz, Number of questions should be chosen, time lapse must be displayed.
o Tables, Graphs should be incorporated according to the requirements.
o Engineering problems/Algorithms/Applications to be worked out in detail.
o Dynamic Picture representation must be provided.
o Formatting options (Fonts/colors etc.,) is must.
o Research problems/ References/ Latest developments/ Modern Topics/ Journal References wherever necessary.
o The total content to be divided into ten chapters and each chapter should incorporate minimum of 5 animations and contain minimum 20 pages.
