Convert Visual Basic program to Delphi

Hello. I have large experience in converting code from one programming language to another programming language. I have installed both VB6 and Delphi 7. I am going to use step-by-step debugging in order to make sure new code works same as original code.

Dear sir(s) / madam(s): I'm a software developer with 15+ years experience. I have worked with Visual Basic 6 and with Delphi since the years when version 6 was the latest. If it can be done, the software will be designed to compile and run on the most basic editions of Delphi 7, Standard or even Personal. Third party components will also be avoided whenever possible. As an alternative (of course if you approve it) I can develop the application using Lazarus/FreePascal. It's an Open Source, cross-platform alternative to Delphi. If all the communication is done via serial port and without requiring Windows-only drivers or features, the application could be easily ported to Linux and Mac OS X. Lazarus/FreePascal. I'm stipulating the time of delivery in two days on the sake of caution. But if the application could be completed on less time, it will be delivered as soon as it is finished. We can agree on a post-delivery test/bugfix period, during which I will be correcting possible bugs at no cost. Dear Sir, I have experience writing communication programs in Delphi. I make several programs working on IEC 870-5-101, IEC 870-5-103 and other serial protocol. I can make it workin with state machine. In this way program will not be blocked if you disconnect serial port and you have control to stop an start it. Best regards Janez

I began using Delphi when Delphi 1 was released. From that I was working with Delphi and Embarcadero to current time. I was developing a lot of apps for accounting, ... and a lot of apps/drivers for device controlling (readers, electromechanic, gaming/gambling, ... devices). Via USB/RS232/.... You are needing a concrete (D7) version then I will have to search my SerialComm components for it (they are customized). I will need some time for installing D7 but in a few days I will be able to give you your app. Conditions: - You will must give me all specs and complete funtional cast by writting (doc). - I will not be earning your money until you have your app running (except FL commission which I will require inmediatly). Experienced in Delphi7 and VBA for >=10 years. I developed several Delphi apps which communicates with external app (MS Excel, Access and some others). I didn't communicate with serial port through Delpi app; however, I imagine how it can be done. We'll need tight comunication in order to debug app.
