Need an order and ticket system. Client will go to site and log into their account. Once in their account they will be able to:
1 place an order on their pre-filled order form (will need to strip the data to a dbase III comma deliniated file)
2 request a quote on their pre-filler order form (will need to strip the data to a dbase III comma deliniated file)
3 access individual orders they have placed and view related files and then edit info on these files (files to be stored on cloud service like sugarsync)
4 view their account statement and individual invoices (tied to quick books pro for update ?)
5 access all past orders to view them only
6 track order status in real time with client being able to post comments and us respond (comments need to be immediately forwarded via email or other methods to us for response)
We are a land surveying firm and deal with pdf files that are posted for client to view and edit (see 3 above)
Please provide budget and time frame. Not sure what budget should be so disregard approximate budget. We are relying on your estimate for project cost.
To clarify some points:
The data entered by the client in the order form and quote request form will need to be forwarded to us. At some point the data needs to be translated into dbase III files so we can mine that data and extract it to another internal database program we use. This conversion of data can happen at any point in the process as long as a dbase III comma delineated file can be generated. We will be uploading this information manually into our other database program.
Our current process is: When we create a drawings or certificate for our client we produce a pdf file that is placed on a cloud server (we currently use sugarsync). That pfd file has extended rights so the client can use Adobe Reader to edit a text section of the drawings. The client then logs into the shared folder and using Adobe Reader can view, copy, print, edit the text block and save the pdf if desired. We are looking to streamline this process and incorporate the other features mentioned in the project outline.
Currently after 45 days the ability to edit the pdf is removed. We now manually move the file to an archive file that can only be read. If the file can be automatically moved at 45 days to an archive area that would only allow the file to be viewed by the client that would be great.
It is not mandatory we use a cloud server for this process.
We upload all data. The only exception is the pdf files that are revised by the client and saved back to the cloud server we currently use as explained above.
We are open to alternative methods to obtain the desired results we have outlined.
