Metropage is an Australian company developing a range of information kiosks for government, retail and other commercial markets. The Metropage kiosk features thru-glass technology that allows it to be used through shop front windows.
The kiosks run proprietary Windows software that renders XML that also controls touchkeys and other kiosk functions.
Metropage is seeking the services of an experienced web designer and HTML editor who can initially assist with a small project to:
- update the interim Metropage website ([url removed, login to view]) to reflect the look & feel of content created for the information kiosk; and, later
- develop improved XSL templates for the information kiosk to enhance the appearance of kiosk content; and
- create XML files for customer demonstrations of the information kiosk to enhance presentations.
Metropage can provide example XML and XSL files to the successful tenderer.
C++ and .Net capabilities a potential advantage as program modifications may also be required.
The estimated project size reflects its ongoing nature and services to be provided over coming weeks and months.
A website that could be user-edited using an open source CMS such as Wordpress would be preferred.
PLEASE NOTE: Only the website development project is within scope initially..
The $1,500 project value relates to on ongoing project for the development of kiosk content over several months after the website has been developed.
Accordingly, please do not quote $1500 for developing the website as that is the value of the entire project for the first few months.
Please quote an hourly rate as it should not be possible to estimate the total cost before the scope is known. Providing a high fixed quote will not win the website development business which is only worth a few hundred dollars.
