We have one functioning webstore at Volusion which we maintain ourselves. We propose to build another similar webstore which will be populated with data fed from Synnex (a major distributor of IT equipment in Canada and the USA). We purchase products from Synnex and sell them to our customers in Canada.
We will have a table of Synnex SKUs which must be displayed in a particular order and in a particular fashion at the new Volusion webstore. The table contains fewer than 1000 rows (indeed, it is likely about 400 SKUs).
All data relating to each of these SKUs must be updated once per month (descriptions, photos, manufacturer part numbers, etc) using XML feeds from Synnex. Some data, specifically data relating to product pricing and availability, must be available in real-time (or near-real-time). An algorithm must also exist to automatically calculate our selling price based on the Synnex cost price.
We will have three classes of customers visiting the site. We must be able to differentiate selling prices based on the customer class.
In the near term we do NOT require real-time order transfer to Synnex but we do want to have a structure in place which makes this possible in future.
*** Important: We require that shipping costs be correctly presented to our customers based on the algorithms of Synnex. We much care how these calculations are performed but they must be consistently correct. Almost all shipments are completed via Purolator.
We will offer a $100 bonus if the job can be completed within one week. Preference will be given to bidders who communicate clearly and who can demonstrate other successful implementations of Synnex data on Volusion carts.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
