I am not trying to create another store. Shopping site and it's cart should be simplified and adjusted to advertising and communication tool.
THIS IS PROOF OF CONCEPT. IF THE TRY WILL SUCCEED, I AM WILLING TO INVEST MORE MONEY INTO THIS AND ADD FEATURES.
Please read carefully what Iam trying to do.
I am trying to improve the pricing process to the existing second hand business. Some of our customers are calling to us asking to price the item without seeing it. Instead of time-consuming and sometimes not very productive telephone communication, I would prefer my employees to send at least part of the customers to the web site. The site should give them idea how the items are priced by showing approximate trade-in price (price we pay) instead of sales price. I am slightly familiar with the Zen Cart and already repaired location with some categories.
There are two types of potential users: locals and remotely located, who might ship the item.
Potential seller should be able to find the item s/he wants to trade-in and click the button SELL MY LIKE THAT (I might change the text of the button). Such click should add the item to the CART. When the shopping is over use goes to the SHOPPING CART (We will call "OFFER SCREEN" because it's not really shopping process).
Local User should be able to print "OFFER" with the driving instruction.
Remotely Located user also should be able to print the shipping label if he decides to accept an offer. To be able to print an "OFFER" user probably (I have to think about the sequence of steps) has to enter the name, address, eMail & phone.

This is basics of the process that I wish to be done on this Stage. If I will see that potential customers are really using the site, I will go for the expansion of the features. For this stage I am expecting:
Layout change (remove all extras and make some cosmetic changes or teach me how to replace graphics in the files).
Create the Bestsellers features (I am sure that it's in the features list, I just do not know where?). Best Sellers (actually not sellers because we do not sell anything, but most visited items of the Category) should be shown on the center for the screen when the category is browsed if the list of items in the category is not feeling the screen (need to define the amount; probably 10-15 could fit to the screen).
Then New Products section should be showing the items selected to shopping cart by other visitors during certain period of time.
Again ... I need someone who will be able to start now and add more features later. So your level should not be beginning level. Also, some teaching of me (I am teachable, I can assure) will be involved.
Every attempt to reach the cart should be registered somehow (log in the system or eMail to admin's eMail address. So, administrator (me) will be able to learn what kind of activities are going on.
Because this phase requires a lot of cosmetic changes, I am expecting you to spend several hours with me making quick changes. Do not apply if you have pay-per-minute Internet access.
