I would like to have a recipe database software package written similar to the one found at http://www.accuchef.com. AccuChef is a good package so I am happy with what it offers but want to make it better.
There are some changes I want such as an easy to use report designer that allows for layout, font section, and image placement/size. AccuChef does an okay job but it's too complicated to edit the reports. I would like to have the ability to output the recipe to a pdf or print to the printer as well as the ability to print an entire cookbook.
I think all the fields in the referenced software are okay but I would want to add a field for where or who the recipe came from.
Finally, I would want to create a website to sell/download the software as well as allow people to post recipes or entire cookbooks to share with others. For example, a user (once registered) would create a user account inside the software. They could then export (from inside the software) a recipe and it would go to the website. It would be added to a main database by category and ingredient. The other people could download, comment and rate the recipe.
The website integration is an important because part of my marketing idea is to create this online community that shares recipes and comments. I would want to consider a Facebook type website where people could interact with each other.
In the future, I would want customers to have the ability to access their cookbooks and add recipes from the iPhone or DRIOD.
