To give you an idea of what im trying to do. I want to build a platform where drilling companies can have their drillers submit their mud usage remotely and the managers can view the submitted information in a graphical manner. I.e penetration rate per day, mud usage per day etc in various kinds of charts. Some drilling companies will have 30 to 50 drill rigs and they want to know penetration rates and their mud usage over time and the cost. I would like to be able to create a 'profile' for each company where the data can be submitted as a webform of some sort and analysed. I would have several drilling companies under the same platform.
An example of the kind of structure I am looking for would be as follows.
SITE ADMIN: Would be me.
-I could add 'Companies'
-Manage Company Admins
-Add drill rigs to company profile (each company will have drill rigs that belong under one Unique ID)
-Manage drill rigs (update their info, password, active/inactive).
-View reporting (charts – numerical charts that show drillers’ submissions)
-Some companies may have rigs in different geographical places so this would just be a information management division of data. This would be so managers could look at rig data for a particular region/country/area.
-Input mud usage and other information for each rig they manage. (At this time it will only be mud but I may decide to add further things in the future).
-Manage their submissions (report)
There isn't a huge amount of data that will be entered at the moment but I want the database to be flexible so I could add different fields and be able to show it graphically.
I don't have a preference on how it is done or what language etc is used, as long as the application works.
Also, I would like someone who after the project is completed, be still willing to help if there are problems/issues with the site/database once its live.
