I would like to build an ecommerce shopping cart that allows customers to easily select my product by shape, color and size. Once these three parameters have been selected, I'd like my customers to customize their product with text, font, and clipart. The final customize product would be be placed in a shopping cart for purchase. In a perfect world I would prefer to use my own merchant processor, and design the layout of the ecommerce website myself in WordPress. My challenge is that I do not know how to write code in Java to create a customizable shopping cart. I do have two companies that have ecommerce sites I'd like to use as the template. Sterling Monument seems to have a simple carting system that meets my needs. [login to view URL] also Legacy Monuments has a something similar as a possibility. Their site is a little too busy for my taste. But the design mechnanism is user friendly. [login to view URL]
Last, I would like this ecommerce site to grow with time. Wondering if it would be possible for me to be able to add products later once the code is written or if I will have to hire someone each time I want to expand the product offering.
