This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a world-class, next-generation architect to be part of a development team which is at the forefront of modern technologies, driving the most exciting and innovative initiatives in our industry. You will be working on highly visible systems and web and mobile applications used by internal and external clients. You will have a chance to define, design and develop the entire application stack in an Agile development environment and to see the results of your work being used by customers with significant positive user and business impact.
• 2+ years of relevant in software development, architecture and related technical disciplines.
• Solid hands on C# and ASP.NET development experience.
• Knowledge using modern JavaScript libraries, AJAX, J-Query, and Web Browser technologies, HTML5 and CSS, knockout JS.
• Hands on experience in and knowledge of WCF, MVC, SOAP and RESTful web services (Microsoft Web API).
• Experience working with distributed solutions. Excellent ability to provide architecture guidance to the project team working with all aspects of an application lifecycle - solution architecture, architecture artifacts, high performance design, caching mechanisms, scaling and security.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft technologies, databases and open source software as well as the ability to mentor the team on these technologies. Preferred Microsoft Certified Professional with up-to-date Microsoft stack.
• Mobile development experience preferred.
• Practice standard development process leveraging Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and Test Drive Development. Experience with Agile planning tools like JIRA, BitBucket.
• Team player with strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Strong experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Proactive approach to drive creativity and innovation within GPS team.
• Goal-oriented, project-oriented, and achievement-oriented.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
