- Current website not being used at all – Not relevant to what NICHE Sports do (was created
before any trading took place
- Now that trading is taking place and services are being offered, a website that shows that off
is required
- Business background:
NICHE Sports Data currently analyse Gaelic Games matches. We (either in-person or from
TV/online footage) tag events in a match (things like shots, fouls, scores, puckouts, turnovers
etc.) and from these, we create match reports that are exported in PDF format
- For coding (analysing) matches, we use templates that consist of certain events based on
performance. This is to allow for consistency match-on-match rather than one match having
certain events tagged, and a different match having different events tagged. The benefit of
this consistency then is that data that is trending over a certain number of matches can
easily be flagged (i.e. ‘John Smith has scored just 10 of his 25 shots this year’). It can
often happen that in one match, a person scores all 8 of their shots for example, but long-
term, their success rate might just be 50% etc.
- There are certain tier levels of analysis that we provide, ranging from 1 to 5 (5 being the
most in-depth) and prospect clients would have these templates demonstrated to them by a
salesperson
- Some prospect clients may just want a basic level of analysis (either no interest in hugely in-
depth analysis or just don’t have funds to get it). Other prospect clients then may want more
in-depth analysis due to having the funds to do so, but also having the interest and
knowledge to make use of it
- The main benefits of our data are included in a separate file, but essentially for Teams, it is
to aid them in their performance, be it by doing Opposition Analysis, Players Analysis, Player
Scouting or otherwise. For Media, it is to use the data to create fresh and unique talking
points for their end-users (viewers/listeners) rather than generic conversations
- Colour scheme I’d like to stay like the current website (pale blue, white, black) – I like this
colour scheme as it’s not one in use by any Sports Data provider in a similar field
- I have the newer logo (albeit only in JPG/PNG) format
- I do not mind how the website is created (whether via wordpress or otherwise as-long-as it
functions well). Hosting/URL are both with Hosting Ireland (login details provided to you if
needed)
- Essentially, I want, when a user arrives on the website (hopefully via social media or
otherwise) to know what we offer and understand why it would be beneficial to them
