The main goal of this project is to create a customized DMS (Document Management System) to help 2 kinds of groups:
1)Group of Doctors (collaborators)
who wants to send their technical report to several clinics (customers) as soon as they create a job request to them with a DICOM standard file. Only one Doctor can pick up a job. The Technical Report can be sent in 2 States (In Progress or Finished) as soon as the Finished Report is sent the DICOM file must be encrypted and stored elsewhere but the Report must be available for 5 years.
2)Group of Engineers (collaborators)
who wants to send their technical report to several companies (customers) just after they finish a technical analysis requested by the customer with a Technical Drawing (pdf or dwg), a Plan Of Inspection and Tests (PIT) and a Approved Order (contract). The Report must be available for download at least for 10 years.
It is our first idea to use Google Cloud services to store and serve files and metadata. Starting with a minimum compute machines as possible. But other cloud services can be evaluated
It is our idea to use a DMS provider capable to supply the main features through a Open Source solution but also experienced enough to make us comfortable to migrate to a payable solution later if needed. We start thinking with Alfresco but other solution can be evaluated.
We also want the ability to include our own scripts (python is preferred) to perform internal task using documents and/or metadata.
We appreciate Docker or Kubernetes solution. But start simple and improving with time is the general idea.
