I am a native English speaker from the UK (currently based in Zambia), with an excellent eye for detail and extremely high standards in my work. I am in the process of completing a proofreading qualification from a prestigious UK publishing training company and have passed their Grammar at Work course with merit, so I have an excellent knowledge of grammar and correct English usage. I am an efficient and organised worker, so projects will always be completed in good time. I have excellent communication skills so will keep you informed as necessary and will respond quickly to any queries. I believe my bid price to be competitive, reflecting the fact that I have not yet built up a large amount of freelancing experience. I am an American, a native speaker. I am well educated, I was a nurse until I was 30 then I took a degree in electronics engineering. I worked as a technical writer for a software firm for about a year. I worked with English major editors writing the user manuals. I have been in Turkey since 2008. I took a certificate for Teaching English as a Second Language. TESOL and a second one for teaching business English. (It is the only job I am allowed to do here) - I am fast and able to many kinds of proof-reading. Phd thesis, mission statement, cover letter for a job, technical writing, text books. I can use the correct "voice" (level of english) I would like to know the type of documents I would be proofreading for you. If it is for higher education and I refer to AMA style guide for example I would require more money.
