I am looking to move my small business operation over to Google Apps for Business. It isn't complicated, but I wanted to explain my current setup in detail to make sure you have the skill set for this.
I am an independent consulting operation, and I currently have my domain set up through GoDaddy, and my website hosted on Hostgator. I get my mail through Hostgator and it is set up as pop email (with a copy left on the server). I use Outlook 2007 as my email client on a Windows 7 machine, and it is configured to get email from multiple email addresses and domains that I own. I have not set up a Google Apps for Business account.
I am looking to switch over my email, calendar and contacts to Google Apps for business.
I own several domains, and have email addresses on each domain, but the emails are all forwarded to my Outlook (currently three domains with separate email addresses). I have set them up as separate pop accounts, and I can reply from each of them as though they are coming from that domain. I have the domains pointing to my primary website, so they fold under one website.
The email should be just like my current Outlook setup where I choose the account I am sending from, and it sends from that domain without a note of “on behalf of” in it (as Google is notorious for doing). I only want one instance set up with domain aliases so I can keep it all under one account. I only want one calendar in Google as well. There is only one “user” (me).
I want to have all of my email, calendar and contact info currently in Outlook ported over to Google Apps for Business. I have an iPhone which I will continue to need to sync with my calendar and contacts, in addition to getting email on my phone.
I also want the Google Outlook sync installed so I can continue to work in Outlook for a while until I get used to Google Apps for Business.
Some "must have" criteria:
* You have to have demonstrated experience in integrating others to Google apps for business
* You must be able to communicate in English clearly since this is a mission critical aspect or my business
* I depend on my email every day, so it is important that the porting over is done during U.S. non peak hours
