Electronic Circuit (transmitter/receiver)

Two circuits are needed:

1. Transmitter

Characteristics:

1. No larger than a quarter, but can be a little thicker.

2. Operates on a watch battery.

3. Can transmit continuously for about 1 year.

4. Operates only at very close range to the receiver (between 6 inches and 2 feet).

5. Distance is user adjustable.

6. Can operate on only one of 5 channels.

7. Channel is user selectable by rotating front plate against back plate with a see through numeric indicating transmitting channel.

2. Receiver

Characteristics:

1. No larger than small box around 2 x 2 x 2 inches.

2. Operates on one or two AA batteries.

3. Can receive continuously for about 1 year.

4. Operates only at very close range to the transmitter (between 6 inches and 2 feet).

5. Distance is user adjustable.

6. Can operate on only one of 5 channels.

7. Channel is user selectable on box outside with indicator of selected channel.

8. When transmitter is within range, timer is started and lasts at most 3 seconds (see #10).

9. +5 voltage is output by receiver circuit during timer’s operation, or enough voltage and current to operate a small stepper motor (see #10).

10. Action required by motor is to move (when in the presence of the transmitter) by 1 or more rotations and then stop and then move back to the starting position when transmitter is absent. Thus #8 and #9 (above) is only my guess as to what exactly is needed.
