DIVI & Elementor compatability

I have a site that I am working on built with DIVI. And, I am going to be using Elementor with some post types. But, for some reason, DIVI will not allow me to create templates. I am wondering if there is some setting that is creating this problem and how to resolve it. Looking for a DIVI/Elementor expert
