Frontend work: design BBpress forum to merge with the homepage design of wordpress

Hi,
I am starting a homepage in Sweden. As of now its a private project that going to be a political organization later on when everything is in place. I have set up a wordpress page and some add-ons where BBpress forum is one of those. However I cant get bbpress to use the theme of wordpress and the forums first page does not look good. The forum behaves a little bit strange also. I managed to get the subforum pages looking okey however not following my wordpress theme (I think).
In short what I need help with = to merge and design the forum and also make the design stick with future updates to the site and forum etc. I also want the design to apply to new forum topics/sub forums that are added later on.
