I need a loose diamond search plugin built for a wordpress site.
I have 3 main loose diamond suppliers, who have their inventory on line as an xml feed. I would need this inventory imported once a day, stored locally, and then have the loose diamond search function call on this data to be displayed when the front end is utilized.
Furthermore, I have suppliers who only send me their price list via excel format, so I need to be able to plug those into the database as well. There are other formats as well, I don't know them off the top of my head, but the ability to integrate or map the most common file types to the database would be ideal.
Is there a more optimal way of doing this? This is all new to me, so let me know your suggestions as well.
I need to have full markup ability by percentage, or by $ amount over the cost price of the inventory.
The customer needs to be able to add this item to the shopping cart, add to compare with other diamonds, where the information exists from the supplier (links to images of diamond, or links to the diamond certificate) the ability for that information to be accessible.
Look at [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view]
Those are 2 models that are doing the same thing. They own none of that inventory in the loose diamond search. Suppliers upload their inventory somehow, and customers do the loose diamond search, and they can view GIA reports for any diamond showing there.
This is ideally the end result, so I need someone to reverse engineer that.
