Speed up my wordpress site

Hi. I have a wordpress / woocommerce site. when i setup it installed lots of plugins to see waht was suitable, also had a developer doing back end work on it. It has been very slow to load now and i think it needs plugins removed but im not sure which ones, also some tweaks to make it faster, i know also the template i use :"shopper" is out of date, but i changed it and i lost half my layout so i restored it, i would like that updating too.
