Here's an easy way to make some money. We need some advice on shopping feeds from someone who has been involved in shopping feeds and integrating shopping feeds into websites.
Please note. Your bid is for providing us "with advice" not the providing shopping feeds or integrating the feeds. All you need to do is to provide us information so that we can know the best way (reliable & cost effective) of finding and integrating, price comparison listings for camera equipment & accessories on our website.
We've started developing a photography website. As part of the services for the new website, we are planning to list cameras, lenses and other photography accessories for sale by different companies like Jessops, Park Cameras, Camera warehouse ... etc. For that we'd like to get paid per click or get commission per sale. Think of it as a price comparison service for camera equipment.
We need to know the following:
Where do we get the shopping feeds from?
Are there many provider companies who can provide us the data in a standard format (perhaps XML RSS feeds) and pay us for clicks on a monthly basis.
If so who's who and how does their service differ?
Does it cost & if so how much?
How do we make money (pay per click, sales tracking & commission?
If pay per click, then does each company whose products are clicked on pay us commission, or the provider of shopping feeds?
Are the feeds in a standard format. In other words can we create scripts to automatically read the latest shopping feeds or is this likely to be a manual process
The person who can provide the most comprehensive reply that tell us ALL our options and ways to make money will win the project. Please remember we know very well how to Google and find companies, so please don't bid if you're planning to do just that. You need to have had experience in this field.
