I am using [url removed, login to view] to upload customer info and print shipping labels. All our customer information is in an excel file. [url removed, login to view] supports batch uploading using their own xml format. What we need is to automatically (or just press one button) export the excel data into the [url removed, login to view] xml format, which can be uploaded into [url removed, login to view] software directly.
The technical difficulties (for me) are :
1) the xml file needs to have data which is defined as "list of lists" by excel. List of lists is not exportable to xml by excel.
2) automatically generate the xml file from the excel file. This could be achieved by a macro or a visual basic button? I already have one "print invoices" button with the excel file, I like to append the new function of generating the xml file to it. So at the end, I only need to click one button, all invoice will be printed (current existing function) AND the ready-to-use xml file will be created (to be done).
Updates: I am using Excel 2003. I also uploaded the xml format I need, and the excel file. In the uploaded excel file, all cells contain direct values. However in the actual excel file (which is too big to upload), all values are calculated from formulas.
