Help getting HTML elements with Yahoo YQL

My request is pretty simple. I'm using YQL to access elements of an HTML page and spit them out in JSON for a mobile app. Being a newbie, I just need help with the YQL syntax, specifically the xpath parameters, to filter the information so that it's actually useful.

I don't need the app built, don't need the site built. Just help me get some pretty JSON like the Twitter Search API spits out, for example. If you know YQL, it should a simple task.
