The Cherish Women's Cancer Foundation is an Australian charity raising awareness and support for Ovarian cancer (the number one killing cancer in women). The site is built on-top of Wordpress and allows the site manager to change copy, add in slideshows, moving page sections, news, upload images and more with ease. The admin section was completely re-imagined to keep things easier to manage and edit amongst multiple teams. The design was handled by Monique Kneepkens from Fries Need Mayonnaise and Rem Bruijn from Brainheart whilst I undertook development of the site and turned the PSD's into a functional Wordpress theme. A feel good project with a great result: http://cherishfoundation.com.au/

Kill Hipsters is another one of my self-initiated Wordpress projects. I designed and developed the current site and I am also the main contributor for news, reviews, articles and other content on the site. From design to development the site took me about one week outside of work hours to complete. You can view the site at this URL: http://killhipsters.com

Figurated is an outlet for my web development expertise. It is a site that designed and built myself and that I occasionally post; tips, tricks, tutorials and articles on everything web development. The site is running on-top of Wordpress, is responsive and does not use any plugins whatsoever for functionality (everything is hand-coded to make things faster). I wanted to go for a nice clean theme that relied more on typography and great vertical rhythm to separate content and less on things like borders and colours. The site took me from design to development about 3 days. I make improvements to it whenever I can find the time to do so. The site can be seen at this address: http://figurated.com

The Carindale Medical Clinic is a mobile-first responsive Wordpress powered medical clinic website which features nice use of typography and grid system. The website aims to turn the tide of traditionally unfriendly medical clinic websites and I think the end-result definitely achieved that. The site uses plugins very sparsely except for the contact form functionality for allowing potential new patients and existing ones to make appointments through the website or ask questions. Be sure to check out the doctors page where you will see some exceptionally handdrawn portraits of the the doctors working at the Carindale Medical Clinic and read up on their qualifications and a brief bio (a great feature to have in my opinion). The site feels personal and is intended to be accessed by all devices. The site can be viewed here: http://www.carindalemedical.com.au/ This project was a client project built whilst I was working for design-led digital agency Josephmark.

The Studio Breeder website is a beautiful mobile-first, single page responsive Wordpress powered website that places heavy emphasis on video and imagery. The site takes advantage of advanced lazy loading, social media integration (the news section pulls in Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts) and smart embeds to make for a pleasant experience. My job was to take the ambitious designs and turn them into a working and functional result. My favourite part of the site is the news section which pulls in content from multiple social media sources, runs duplication checks and retrieves all images/video embeds and then puts them into an easy to ready masonry style grid layout. The news section also allows for manual news entry via the admin panel as well. This project was a client project built whilst I was working for design-led digital agency Josephmark.

The Spondo website is a beautiful Wordpress driven marketing site that helps the Spondo team adequately explain what it is they do, their core product offering and allowing visitors and potential customers to get the latest news on the company and get in contact. The site utilises a custom built AJAX plugin that allows for seamless page navigation using the HTML5 History API and more. My job on this site was building the theme, plugin functionality and ensuring everything met the design guidelines. The backend of the site also employs multiple enhancements to make the editing, categorisation and display format of the content easier than the default Wordpress installation. The final result can be viewed via this link: http://www.spondo.com This project was a client project built whilst I was working for design-led digital agency Josephmark.

Adjust Listify listing pages

He was able to jump right in, as promised. He had a lot of problem-solving ideas, was easy to get in touch with, to communicate with, and was helpful with other glitches he came across.
