The initial brief was to design a handrawn business card for Mr Len Vorster, who is a concert pianist. The illustrations are all about performances. The concept was inspired by Mika CD cover. The concept was later become an art piece. The original artwork was printed on recycled paper and now framed and on display.

Colorific Face Paint o The current packaging is outdated and the brief was to refresh the packaging with a strong presence on the shelf. o The approach was to inject a lot of colours to the packaging to represent the facepaint colour palette instead of blue across the range. o The hangsell section was given a paint swoosh pattern with a white background. This is to give the illussion of movement when it hangs on the shelves.

Big Balloon Print Ads (Left:Kzone, Scooby-Doo range; Right: The Bugg Report Marketing, Big Balloon all brands) o Kzone, Big Balloon Scooby-Doo range: The brief was to design a 210mm x 248mm full colour print to feature their latest Scooby-Doo range. To stay true to the Scooby- Doo style, a slightly spooky and yet colourful montage background was created by using the Scooby-Doo Styleguide. All the fonts were outlined to create a jagged and creepy look. o The Bugg Report Marketing. The brief was to design a 210mm x 297mm print ad to showcase all the ranges Big Balloon is currently doing. In order to feature all the range in a logical way, the ad was divided into 4 sections.

Mutant Monster (2 assortments: Swamp Monsters, Fire Dragon) o First assignment at Colorific. The idea was based on the crystal tree. We took the idea a few steps further by growing your own creatures. The absorbent card will start to grow crystals as soon as it touches the solution. o The brief was to create 2 different creatures and their habitat. o Using my own research and illustration skills, I developed Volcano Island and Swamp Forest. o Illustrations were influenced by comic and Manga. o The creatures were intentionally more aggressive because these products were aimed predominantly at boys and they prefer scarier monsters.

To design 210mmx148mm CMYK print ad for Big Balloon to feature their latest range. By understanding and following Scooby Doo stayle guide, I created a darker and a bit spooky background. K-zone magazine is full of colourful ads and images. I added some colours to make the ads exciting and at the same time stands out in the magazine.
