During the 1990's, I worked in a studio team creating audio and multimedia projects for a diverse range of clients – IBM, Volvo, Mitsubishi, Apple and Microsoft. The projects were for training, for client awareness, for major presentations and sales purposes.
There was a consistent flow of company profiles, pulling apart internal presentations and re-casting them in an audience-centric mode. I wrote advertisements for NRMA, Zurich and the Commonwealth Bank, and wrote ads for 2GB and 2UE in Sydney.
From 1999 onwards, I formed a media company with an internet focus, and developed design and print solutions for major corporations. Many of these were in the finance industry – Consultum, IOOF, Deutsche Bank, ANZ and others.
I sold that company in 2010 and now write on a freelance basis. I have an academic background in economics, a hands-on background in music, and I am fluent with technology. I can write copy for children – I have owned an online publishing company specialising in children's material – and I'm very conversant with the idiom of adolescents and under 25s.
