Age and growth of a cichlid fish, Tilapia zilli in Lake Qarun, Egypt

International Journal of Development,
The present study provided information on length-weight relationship and condition factors of Tilapia zilli at Lake Qarun, Egypt during the period from July, 2012 to April, 2013. Results showed that, the total length of T. zillii varies from 5 to 17 cm, while the total weight was ranged between 2.64 and 96.01 g. The weight of the fish increases with the increasing in length. The “b” value (2.95) is around the ideal (3), indicating a tendency towards isometric growth.

Morphological aspects of caudal fin for eight shark species

The Organizing Committee of the 10th International Scientific Conference (iscaz)
Results showed that the collected specimens belong to 8 species (Heptranchias perlo, Hexanchus griseus, Squalus megalops, Centrophorus uyato, Oxynotus centrina, Squatina squatina, Isurus oxyrinchus and Isurus paucus) and three species of them (Heptranchias perlo, Squalus megalops and Isurus paucus) are new records in the Egyptian Mediterranean water. The morphological aspects of caudal fin in these eight shark species were greatly varied in shape.

Body Morphological Aspects For Eight Shark Species With Special Reference To Conservation Status

The Organizing Committee of the 10th International Scientific Conference (iscaz)
The present study aimed to describe the morphology and morphometric measurements used to differentiate between some shark species in Egyptian Mediterranean water. A total of 43 specimens of sharks were seasonally collected from the commercial catch of the Mediterranean Sea, at land fish markets in Alexandria, during the period from May 2017 to June 2018. Morphometric characters of shark bodies were recorded for each specimen.

New records, conservation status and pectoral fin description of eight shark species

Egyptian Journal of Aquatic Biology & Fisheries
For a taxonomical purpose, the present study described and analyzed the pectoral fin shape and measurements for a total of 43 shark specimens collected from the Egyptian Mediterranean Sea waters at Alexandria, through regular visits during the period from May 2017 to June 2018. Many photos had been captured for each shark specimen

Morphological aspects of dorsal fin for eight shark species

Egyptian Journal of Aquatic Biology & Fisheries
The present study aimed to describe the dorsal fin measurements used to differentiate between some shark species in Egyptian Mediterranean waters. A total of 43 specimens of sharks were seasonally collected from the commercial catch of the Mediterranean Sea land fish markets in Alexandria, during the period from May 2017 to June 2018. Morphometric characters of dorsal fin were recorded for each specimen.
