One of my recent projects in VBA includes populating Word documents from the data in Excel, using mail merge like techniques, signing the documents, naming them with a user-defined name and saving to a specific folder.

The algorithm I created in this project distributes the "Spread Amount" between the "Start" and "End" dates based on the delineated "Curve" (see the screenshot below). The code first finds the Min and Max dates, then determines the number of months between them and inserts the corresponding dates in the top row. Finally, it evaluates each of the rows in the spreadsheet, spreads the "Spread Amount" based on the "Curve" and the applicable "Start/End" dates and outputs the results in the corresponding cells. For example, if the curve is 5/95, it places 5% of the amount in the first half of the period of performance and 95% in the second half. The ranges are not hard-coded, so the program is dynamic and it will work with any number of rows/columns.
