Job involved editing news as well as feature stories written by reporters from the region
(Vidarbha, including Nagpur) and Mumbai. As a chief copy editor I had to spot mistakes and correct them by interacting with reporters concerned or the high-ups; carry out structural repair of the copies such as cutting out redundancies, clichs and innuendoes; correct grammatical errors; highlight or put in the intro the crux of the story that is often buried within or at the end.
