I'm a heritage and natural world enthusiast specialising particularly in plants of medicinal and economic interest. I've worked in the academic sector for several years, working on herbarium data handling and medicinal plant taxonomy/nomenclature projects, and have been involved in editing of academic texts, data management, and science communications copy intended for lay audiences. I've also been involved in several interpretation projects, preparing public engagement materials for museum/garden displays. I would be very interested in participating in any public engagement or other work being undertaken by projects/institutions in the areas of natural science, conservation, social history or heritage. I can also help with data cleaning, manipulation and management, inventorying/cataloging, and editing and checking spelling, grammar and tone of copy to a native English standard.
