I am an illustrator/artist and I'm close to finishing my MFA in Illustration from Academy of Art University of San Francisco. I've been an artist for about 9 years now. I'm pretty flexible and I have a good turnaround time. I also have a BA in English/Creative Writing from Creighton University (Cum Laude). I focused on fiction writing and editorial proofreading.

A 1 hour, 5x7" portrait of my sister and her boyfriend. Done from a photo reference which was taken with flash (not by me!) which tends to flatten people a lot.

Done in pencil and then tweaked in Photoshop.

Cody & Amy

This is a "remake" of Mucha's classic "Dance." I've always loved Mucha's work, but didn't really care for the colors he used. Also wanted to modernize the figure to a more recent ideal, without being unrealistic. Done in watercolor and watercolor pencil, 11x17".

Portrait, done with CarbOthello Pastel Pencils #645 (sanguine) and #100 (white) on Strathmore "Velvet Gray" Charcoal Paper. Took me 2 hours.

Portrait. I just loved the personality I could see in this gentleman, and I think I did pretty well. Made me think of someone you'd find in the great John Wayne movie, "The Quiet Man."

There's a real soft spot in my heart for Star Wars, I pretty much grew up on it. I always associated so much with Padme, and I tried to wrap everything I thought about her up in this image.

Done in Corel Painter Essentials 4.
