Client requested a pig drawn in the style of old butchering diagrams from the early 1900's. Approached me due to my strong ability in original illustration as well as my ability to reference and work around a given theme. Client was very satisfied and said they would be approaching me for future work.

The client for this job was a local skateboard and snowboard retailer, they wished to re-brand their website in accordance with the print advertisement and fliers I had already designed for them to promote them in their winter advertising campaign. The client approached me as I frequent the shop and have been in the skateboard and snowboard industry for a number of years both participating in the sports and working in the retail aspect of it. I took their existing website and retained most of the code as they were mainly looking for a fresher look rather than a complete website re-design. I simplified and brought a more modern look to the website by working within the color palette I had used for the flyers and print ad, and used inspiration from my aforementioned experience as a skateboarder and snowboarder to provide a look and feel that would remain consistent with the retailer's image and appeal to their target demographic. The client approached me as I frequent the shop and have been in the skateboard and snowboard industry for a number of years both participating in the sports and working in the retail aspect of it. They requested that the advert be in keeping with the fun and often jokey nature of the staff and it's proprietor, so I took influence from early skateboard graphics and provided a caricature of the proprietor as a skeletal version of himself paying homage to the roots of skateboarding and snowboarding while maintaining appeal to the retailer's current demographic.
