My name is Sam. I attend the University of Pennsylvania and I have worked as a CAD operator at a mechanical engineering firm for 3 years designing custom machines. I have experience with all parts of the design process: concept, solid modeling, technical drawings. During my time as a CAD operator I have worked on complex assemblies of over 1000 parts that have been fabricated as well as created extremely detailed models for injection molds of a product valued at $20 million by the Wharton School of business. Beyond my extensive skill set of modeling techniques that will allow me to create a 3D model of any object, organic or mechanical, my experience designing machines that have actually been fabricated and working closely with a machine shop has given me the invaluable knowledge of understanding how a product is manufactured. This knowledge will allow me to design more effective and efficient products.
