EIS is clinical information systems for eye-banking to help collect, protects, and manage essential information, evaluate and distribute human eye tissue for transplantation. The EIS system is used to manage Midwest’s involvement with donors, recipients, families, hospitals, surgeons, researchers, laboratories, technicians, and procurement organizations. The EIS supports all major eye banking processes clinical, Administrative, Management, and Quality assurance. EIS also provide the following functions: • Case data entry, including donor screening, plasma dilution, EBAA standard tissue evaluation, and FDA compliance • Surgery scheduling • Distribution • Post-operative follow-up • Case record review • Adverse reaction tracking • Next-of-kin letters, contact person letters, mailings lists • Invoicing, receivables tracking, monetary contributions • Reporting, activity tracking, data quality review, management information, constituent and public information
