The project is to develop a unified messaging system or voice mail with a lot of additional features. The other features included in the system are Voice Notifications and International Voice Chat via telephone. The system is developed in visual C++ using MFC, Dialogic API’s, GlobalCall etc and the state of the art hardware used is Intel-Dialogic manufactured. A comprehensive Account Management Web Application was also developed which enables a user to manage his / her account, change preferences, listen and respond to voice messages over the internet. The project also involved developing a full scale billing server which has web based admin interface. These two portions were developed using ASP dot Net, as front end and MS SQL server at backend. The project involved connecting the USA office to Lahore via VoIP and thereby shifting additional call load to the Customer Service Representatives (CSR) placed in Lahore. This involved designing a dial & call routing plan. The hardware being used includes Dialogic and Multitech VoIP gateways and the software is written in Visual C++. Project: CodeEngine Duration: March 2002 – April 2002 Environment: ASP dot Net, VB dot Net, SQL server 2000, Web services using SOAP Description: COGENISYS Inc is a US based e-business software company specializing in advanced enterprise application automation. CodeEngine is COGENISYS’ product that generates source code for the entire n-tier architecture - the database tier, the middle tier and the presentation tier generating business rules from sequencing and activity diagrams. The Project at netsol was to transform a web application generated by the CodeEngine to a client server desktop application and implement it using Web services. The project includes complete domain understanding of how code engine works, its entire structure and design. As for implementation part a study of dot net framework and web services was conducted. Project: HelpDesk Duration: August 2000 to December 2001 Environment: ASP, SQL Server, JavaScript, and VBScript Description: Network Solutions is Pakistan’s biggest s/w house. HelpDesk is its internal product. It’s an e-CRM tool. The Application is based on an ASP model in which netsol acts as an ASP. Various different clients can use this product from netsol to provide customer support to their clients. The basic purpose of the application is to provide online support system for its customers having problems/ queries with a product purchased. The System involves bug reporting and tracking, correspondence between client and manufacturer, and automated escalation of clients request to different hierarchical levels. Plus with an automated alert generation system, it provides the updates as soon they happen. The project is an evolutionary project. So far three version of it has been marketed within two years and the system is so valuable that now it is an integral part of every application developed by the company. The system is designed to automate all the managerial needs before and during the commencement of Games. The project included automation of accreditation of games participants, their boarding, lodging, accommodation, transport, and liaison officer assignments. The system provided a completed automated facility for these issues. It’s a web-based 3-tier application with ASP at front end, MTS as the middle tier and SQL Server at backend. Project: Crayon Crawler Duration: Jul 2000 - Aug 2000 Environment: Visual C++, ASP, MTS, and SQL Server Description: The project was to build a browser especially for children, with parental control to block pornographic material to be viewed by the children. The Main components of the project were a browser built in VC++, a memory resident filtration application, also build in VC++ and a web based MIS for parent control / options.
