Basic concept of the house is to provide a traditional touch to modernity. Traditionally, Indian and East Asian architectures have been the most significant forms of foreign influence on Sri Lankan architecture and both have played a significant role in shaping it. Simple, stylish and charm look of the house entices with a royalness. Exposed brick is the medium to show cool, relaxed and rustic nature; or its inspiration from nature. Classic red brick explores warm and tasty segues, and cool grey tile and non plastered structural elements like beam and columns provide a subtle backdrop to the traditional-modern style. North facing large glass windows tilted from the opposite direction of the north tilted facade gives a tremendous view and make the façade more elegant and unique. In addition, the dark red colour of the window gives a contrast to the exposed concrete finish.

More over From a close view from the street, it will look questionably bigger in scale than it is, it appears to be a 4 or 5 floor building and the tilt will be curious, yet the structure is very simple!

To reduce heat gain various explorations were done after understanding the architectural elements of hot climatic region: The brick jali wall along with the conventional lintel shading was selected for the front facade. Both helps to reduce the heat. As the facade majorly needs to shade the central indoor environment during the day time. And also the reddish colour of the brick jali adds the contrast to the white coloured house. And the polished concrete colour shadings gives a pleasing look to the entire exterior view. As the age-old saying conveys, first impressions are crucial. It is as much true for a home as it is for a person. This intriguing design employs a sequence of minimalist geometric shapes to escape the monotony of a singular plain façade and create a more three-dimensional and dynamic elevation. The simplicity of the design also ensures that it retains a sense of tranquility and graceful elegance. A garden with swimming pool can be an exciting addition for any modern home. A minimalist, easy to maintain garden space can provide an ideal enclosure for both relaxing by oneself and languid social occasions with family and close friends. And it is structurally designed to have minimum number of columns and beams , minimum reinforcement and concrete required in order to optimize safety ,cost and also to maintain its architectural comforts.
