with ~6 years of experience on software testing, I would like to mention that I am familiar with technologies like SCRUM, agile development environment and have extensive experience in manual/functional/black-box testing, tickets management and tools like JIRA, Trac, Unfuddle, Selenium and Mantis. I work across 4 teams in San Francisco, Arizona, Japan and Singapore. We have weekly deployments to live. I have extensive experience testing mobile platforms like Symbion (Sadly, it's used less now), Android, Blackberry, iPad and iPhone as well. Roles and Responsibilities: • Prepare test plans outlining the scope, schedule and costing for a variety of software and system product releases. • Identification and preparation of proper test environments, test equipment, and test data. • Work with the engineering team to prepare test methods that properly test the software or system product. • Develop test procedures and expected results that maximize test coverage. • Execute tests using software and system testing standards. • Record test results and prepare test summary reports. • Report defects in the issue tracking system. • Describe reported defects and provide adequate information such that engineering can reproduce the issue. • Continuously look for opportunities to improve testing practices with the organization.
