I'm a web designer and php developer with on the job experience going back to 2008 (although I started programming in my spare time long before that). I previously worked in the games industry creating landing pages, mini-sites, blogs, custom CMS and ecommerce stores (Magento). I especially enjoy responsive design using Zurb Foundation and focus on ease of use and site loading speed (which Google loves). Responsive design means your website looks just as good on mobile as it does on larger screens. I have experience in html, css, javascript (jQuery), responsive design (Zurb Foundation) As well as front-end design I also code in Php and have experience with CodeIgniter, Phalcon and also MySQL databases. Villa Alabali is a luxury villa in Seminyak on the island of Bali. I was asked to create a website for the villa that reflects the luxurious and exclusive feel that they would like to provide for their clients. When I was provided with the gorgeous photos of the villa it was clear to me that they should take pride of place on the front page, so I created a simple rolling slideshow that leaves the page uncluttered and allows the potential customer to more easily see what experience could await them. I changed the contrast on these feature photos to make the colours really stand out. The site was created using Zurb Foundation and is fully responsive, there is also a gallery page and this to is responsive allowing customers to view the gallery on their mobiles. I was asked to photoshop a picture in the gallery as one of the members of staff was looking away from the camera and wasn't smiling properly, so I guess I can include plastic surgery in my skills now?

Westgate AG are a real estate acquisition and management company based in Switzerland - I was asked to redesign their website and bring it up to date. I was given a specific brief of how they wanted the site to look by being asked to copy a site they had seen, rather than copy it in its entirety I took design cues from the site in question and created a stylish look that better reflected how they wanted to be perceived by their clients. Using Zurb Foundation the site is fully responsive, the site is aimed at a wide European client base and so is translated into several languages. I used the CodeIgniter framework in order to make the site user experience simple and so it is easy to switch languages when necessary. The way CodeIgniter handles languages means the site is fully search engine indexable no matter what language is chosen.

Majesty House is the parent company of Laughing Jackal and Ghostlight. I was asked to redesign their website to replace an outdated flash site and so it incorporated information about each of the group's child companies. Zurb Foundation was used to make the site responsive and I also connected the site to a Twitter API so that the latest news from across the group could be displayed on the home page.

The Ghostlight webstore was created using the Magento Community Edition ecommerce platform and was designed to showcase Ghostlight's back catalogue of games and also provide a place to buy physical copies of games and merchandise. The store was customised heavily to show release dates prominently, allow pre-orders for games yet to be released, to allow games to link to their own mini-sites and also so that custom discount sale pages could be deployed. Other customisations included adding in game formats and Pegi age ratings and the ability to link to digital web stores if the game was available to buy in a digital format.

Ghostlight is the sister company to Laughing Jackal and specialises in bringing Japanese RPG titles to the European market. I was asked to create a blog to compliment the Ghostlight webstore and to be the main focus for releasing news to their customer base replacing a news section on the main site that was not interactive. Utilising the same CMS system I created for Laughing Jackal I used the blog module from this to run the Ghostlight blog on a new subdomain. Zurb Foundation was integrated at a later date to give users a better experience on small screens. Livefyre soon replaced the commenting system so that the users could interact with Ghostlight more easily.

Flame Over is a Roguelike fire-fighting game created by Laughing Jackal available on PS Vita, Steam and coming soon to PS4. This site is used as an easy landing page to send customers to so they can find more information about the game. The site is fully responsive using Zurb Foundation and was designed to reflect the predominant colours used in the game. The Reviews section pulls in reviews from the main Laughing Jackal website database so that customers can see what others are saying about the game, while the News section pulls in the latest blog posts for the game from the same site.

My role at Laughing Jackal was split between IT Administration and working on their web properties. I created landing pages and mini-sites for their game releases and also made blogs, a custom CMS and ecommerce stores (Magento) for their main websites.
