Length: 2.5 days Client: Student Work This brief asked to make a book cover and involve a handmade aspect. To tie in my chosen book (1984 - George Orwell) with current events, I searched out a classic logitech webcam and used it to represent confinement and oppression. Other handmade elements include: typography made of copper piping or wire and raw flesh background (out of chicken kabab). "On the whole, I think the world of 1984 is a little closer to the situation in the book than it was in 1950, but much less so than it could have been. However, the potential for a totalitarian world is large enough that people are worried about it." George Orwell

Length: 2.5 days Client: Student Work I created this identity to model a fictional story I produced. The brief required that I choose a fast-moving consumer good to package and appeal to a target demographic. Hoping to lure reptile owners, I developed a packaging design that was branded towards a heartwarming story of a former carnival worker who saved some reptiles from the circus. The design, supported by the iconic "Steeplechase Face" with snake teeth, was instrumental in telling the brand story.

This brief was assigned earlier in my course, as we practiced small business identities. Using a bird to represent the "freedom" experienced while riding a bicycle, I took the shape from my chosen typeface. I rolled it out to a number of mediums, my favourite being a custom crossword for kids focused on bike safety. See more of this project at bradenfloris.com

Length: 2.5 days Client: Student Work This brief required the branding of a new airline under Emirates. Wishing to represent simplicity and luxury, the logo I designed uses common curves to tie back to the parent company. To give the brand an energetic and friendly perception, I called it by definition, "Zeal". To exercise, I chose to explore a digital roll-out, including an in-flight entertainment application and responsive website.
