I am a semi-retired former manager with 40 years experience is in admin and client-care in both corporate and small-business environments. My background is both professional and technical, and I have a degree in industrial (methods) engineering. In relation to writing and editing, I have written articles for The Labradorian in Goose Bay, Newfoundland and I wrote project justifications and presentations working in corporate. My vocabulary, grammar, spelling, punctuation and composition skills are top notch in relation to my spoken and written English skills. Aside from this, extensive experience in the production and manufacturing earned me a two-month course in Japan to learn Quality Assurance and QC.
Here in Calgary, Canada I most recently worked as a Spare Parts Coordinator (buying, expediting, shipping, receiving) in the oil and gas sector for Aker Solutions. I also used to manage Petro-Canada gas stations, then after that I worked as an Office Manager in large but remote Arctic retail outlets that used to be Hudson’s Bay trading posts.
