Drift Media is an independent production house which has been in operation for over six years. Our passion lies in all things media- from underwater documentaries to short film narratives. Our production slate is diverse and includes titles such as “Visions of Blue- The Secrets of Port Phillip Bay”- (Network 10), “Colours By Numbers- The Sodukumentary (ABC), and ”Quickly Go Mad”- Speed Sailing Documentary. Drift Media has been passionately involved in several long-term projects which assist communities to build their capacities. These include Bushfire Recovery (Federal Government), Road Safety (Indonesia), Senior Citizens Advocacy, and Aboriginal Remote Community Development. On the field, Drift Media has been a media provider for Cricket Australia, and the Ironman Series, as well on water camera supplier for the Bell’s Beach surfing competition. On the waves, Drift Media was the official media provider for the 2011 World Moth Sailing Championships, the 2012 Ka National Moth Championships, and the 2013 Farr40 East Coast Sailing Series as well as media producer for local sailing companies including Zhik, Ka Sails and Flymount. Aside from production, Drift Media also provides media consultancy and training in all aspects of video production, film making and community capacity building projects. Drift Media has worked closely with the education sector to design and develop rich media learning and production spaces which arm students with 21st century skills. Schools which have constructed new learning spaces include Silverton Primary School, Kilberry Valley Primary School, Princes Hill Primary School and Camberwell High School. With a strong background in the media sector, Drift Media is a founder of the award-winning and internationally recognised- re@ct student film festival-which showcased the media work of thousands of students across regional Victoria.
