As part of my artificial intelligence course myself and two others were required to develop an artificial intelligent bot written in java to play the Game of Amazons against bots developed by other groups. For this project my team experimented with such search algorithms as greedy best first search, MiniMax search with alpha-beta pruning and iterative deepening to enhance the search speed as well as NegaMax search. We also experimented with many different evaluation functions to increase the intelligence of our bots choices in moves.
