I trained at the School of Speedwriting and Speedtyping in South Molton Street, London and was lucky enough to get a job as Personal Assistant to the Beauty Editor of Womans Own magazine.

I trained as a Registered Sick Childrens' Nurse at the Charles West School of Nursing at the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London. I then worked for eighteen months as a Staff Nurse on the Neonatal Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit.
