With a degree in graphic design from Pretoria University and many years of experience at some of the top advertising agencies in SA and as designer in London, I can offer highly professional services at competitive rates. Clients I have done work for include VISA, British Broadcasting Corporation, Vodacom, Absa Bank, Old Mutual, The Times and EMI Records. I have also done numerous illustrations for various clients including companies like Total, 5FM and Babies \'R\' Us. My core strengths are original creative thinking, versatility in art direction and design styles and speed of work. I am a people\'s person who loves working in a team in a creative environment. but I also work productively on my own. My software and production skills allow me to manage a job from initial briefing through brainstorm and execution to final print ready artwork. Many years of experience working with printers and managing the production of everything from brochures to calendars to books, means I can ensure the smooth running and delivery of high quality printed material. Many companies have approached me for my illustration and logo design skills. I illustrate in various media including pen and ink, paint and digital illustration in Illustrator and Photoshop. Included here is a selection of logos I have designed for a variety of companies – from an industrial clothing and safety gear brand called Tank, to an investment company called Copper Tree. I work in a wide variety of styles and can design a logo to fit virtually any brand personality.

The brief was to come up with a design concept that reflects the slogan of the Road Accident fund which is 'Batho Pele' (People first). By using striking black and white images of people in various positions I highlighted not only the slogan but also the fact that people are fragile and need safety, care and protection.

This campaign I created for Ochre Media's 'The Times' Newspaper in 2011 won an INMA (International News Media Association) award for best New Brand/Product/Audience Development in the 75 000 - 300 000 readership newspaper category. The concept is based on the fact that The Times is a short sharp read that gives you all the news you need to know in a tabloid format that cuts out all the non-essential stuff.

I was tasked with designing a logo and developing all brand elements and advertising material for the launch of Vodacom's new insurance product range. I decided on using the hand icon to represent protection and caring for the things that matter most to people.
