This artwork was created when I was learning human organs at the time. The idea of drawing a heart really attracted me so I was inspired to make a drawing out of it. The shadows represent the monsters that live in our heart; they could be our fears, sins and evilness. However, with the heart that keeps us alive, we are able to conquer those dark shadows, and keep our inner self lighted up in the dark.

Two Sides

The purpose of this drawing is to show the superficial side of human beings. When facing people that we are not familiar with, we tend to bring out our best image in order to create a great impression. The reason why I chose flowers is because I personally think that flowers represent a superficial beauty. People automatically find flowers pretty but do not necessarily know them really well. Similarly to how people may enjoy one's physical appearance without being able to judge one's character. We can only judge someone based on their appearance and the impression they give for the first time. By portraying our image into something flower-like, people remember you as a beautiful and loving one.

The Flowers in You

This artwork is part of an art project that I have done in the past with the theme of materialism. This artwork portrays materialism's great existence in the world we live in today. The purpose of the project was to highlight its presence, make aware of its influences, and reveal its impacts.
