## BIO I have developed several web sites and am now getting into web application development. I have many, many hobbies and interests and have been able to use this knowledge to help customize sites. One of my skills is to figure out how people who are experts in one field, can use technology to assist them. My designs are often simplistic, but there are reasons for that. When people come to a web site, if they don't see what they want in two seconds, they close it. A simple design makes it easier for people to get the information they want. You can see some of my sites <a href= "http://davehampson.net">here.</a> ## Area of Expertise I prefer web development on the LAMP platform (Linux, Apache, MySql, PHP) I have used Prototype.js and Scriptaculous as my main javascript libraries. I have also done a lot of work with jsMath- a let of libraries that turn LaTeX into beautiful math in html. I have found MathML to be very ugly, when it works. LaTeX can be used to generate beautiful web pages, without resorting to pdf.
