I’ve been working remotely on and off for the last two decades. I find I can be more productive, more innovative, and more engaged in my own space. Whether it’s in a van driving a crew door to door, selling roofing systems in a catastrophic storm, or being a freelance writer, I’m more productive. When I spent less time commuting I then found more time to customize my workflow, and once I found a work-life balance my mind became stressfree. I think this is why I tend to work long hours outside the office, because 1) I’m not distracted and 2) I’m in charge. Now I spend hours on WordPress doing administrative stuff, designing websites, social media marketing, writing content, SEO, and SMM. And although it is extremely time consuming, I couldn’t see myself working any other way.
